Sleepless 2019 features live music, family-fun activities, service opportunities, food, and of course the optional overnight sleep-out in the park.

  • Service projects: build hygiene kits, create tie-blankets, and make pet packs for people on the streets

Doors for the evening program at Liberty Station open at 4 PM. Main show starts at 6pm.

Yes, sleeping out overnight is optional. We encourage everyone to stay overnight and experience the sleep-out, but participants are free to leave at any point in the evening.

The Registration cost for Sleepless 2019 will $25 for adults, $15 for students, and children 5 & under are free. We will be offering an Early Bird Ticket Price for anyone that registers before August 10th! The ticket price includes the Sleepless concert, activities, dinner from In-N-Out, a Sleepless San Diego 2019 T-shirt for the first 250 who register, and the option to sleep-out overnight. The Registration ticket price helps the San Diego Rescue Mission (a 501c3 Non-profit) cover the basic costs of hosting this incredible event. After you register, we encourage all participants (groups and individuals) to create a fundraising page where they can raise funds to support the homeless men, women and children at the San Diego Rescue Mission Every dollar from your fundraising page will go directly help support the residents of the Rescue Mission who are currently experiencing homelessness.

There is a large free parking lot directly on site.

The Sleep-out will begin at 10 PM on Saturday night. Each sleeper will have an opportunity to use a cot and cardboard to sleep in solidarity with our brothers and sisters experiencing homelessness. Bring everything you need to spend the night outdoors (sleeping bags, pillows, blankets). There will be overnight security and staff on-site throughout the night to keep the location safe and secure for all sleepers.

SLEEPLESS SAN DIEGO will continue as planned. The homeless sleep outside even in unfavorable weather.

Students under 18 not be allowed to exit and re-enter without a parent or guardian. Parents and Leaders may re-enter but need to be checked in by 8 PM.

Yes, there will be private security guards on site all night, all areas will be well-lit, and a fence will surround the event’s perimeter. This event will bring together concerned members of the community (not homeless individuals).

Bring items you will need to be warm at night. However, please pack lightly since space around your sleeping area will be very limited. Ideas include:

  • Sleeping bag and Pillow
  • Water
  • Sweatshirt
  • Hat
  • Earplugs
  • Snacks in unopened sealed containers ( Refreshments will be provided and there will be additional food for sale)


  • Coolers
  • Alcohol / Drugs
  • Pocketknives / Weapons of any kind
  • Tents
  • Air Mattresses
  • Pets
  • Umbrellas
  • Bicycles
  • Stereo systems
  • Nalgene Water Bottles
  • Opened water bottles (bottled water will be provided and you may bring your own sealed bottled water)

Do not leave valuables on or near your sleeping area. Keep them in your car instead. SLEEPLESS SAN DIEGO, the San Diego Rescue Mission, and its Sleepless Alliance partner non-profit organizations are not responsible for lost or stolen items during the event.

Yes, participants can bring their own food. In-N-Out will be on site to provide dinner, which is included in your ticket price. Complimentary hot and iced coffee will be on site until 7pm.

Yes, there will be portable toilets available on site.

All participants under 18 should have a guardian/parent/youth pastor accompanying them.
